Band: FORMORKET
Country: Hungary
Title: Formorket
Label: Spiritside Productions
Year: 2017
Style: Black Metal
Review:
The band activity ended in the same year this second album of theirs was released, in 2017, so this is more like a swansong for Formorket although the two members of the band are now active in Paragon Zero. 7 tracks in a bit over half an hour of playing time made of Norwegian style second-wave of Black Metal, mostly mid-paced but with plenty of fast outbursts and even some slower passages to increase variety. Not much more to say on it as it follows a pre-defined path fans of the genre are accustomed to, well-executed, well-produced too, cold and sharp as it should be, but without many hooks and memorable parts, so not something to stand out from the crowd. Released on both CD and tape (I have the tape version here and it's top quality), the albums might still be available from Spiritside and I believe it's quite a collectors item if you're following the Hungarian scene.
