Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Hammathaz started in 2003, as a metal band that abbreviated a lot of different styles of metal: Prog, Metalcore etc. in 2017 I (Thales) joined into the band with Thiago Pasqualini. After that, we started a new era on the band. New style, new objectives.

How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
We do not label our style, but we can say, for sure, that we have some elements from Thrash, death and modern metal. Sometimes we feel as we were using black metal elements also. So, we’re a metal band, with no defined subgenre and some plus of “different” and “new” things. I (Thales) am constantly listening to different bands... so, each time I’m inspired by different bands and styles.

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Because, as I said, there’s a lot of diferente elements from different styles. You’re probably gonna find something interesting. Maybe our thrash parts, our death parts, or the “new things” that band has when we mix all those styles.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Hammathaz has released only a single in these latest years. Its because the band were working so hard on the album, besides some problems we had with some old members and that king of stuff. But the single “So It Comes” was really admired. Including now we are working with Som do Darma which has taken us far beyond the local media. They are Hammathaz’s managers, they’re doing a wonderful job and we’re so grateful about that. They sent our singles for a lot of different places around the world and we’ve received great feedbacks about it.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
In 2019 we started to make some gigs. We did a “mini-tour” and it was fantastic. Played in a lot os places, cities, with a lot of bands and we met some great people doing it. The two last gigs of our tour were beside of Besatt, Noturnall, Edu Falaschi and Mike Portnoy. It was really awesome for us.

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
As I said, Hammathaz has a lot of great and different stuff. We don’t care about politics and our lyrics, at most of time, talks about humanity and the mass we’ve been made on earth and to ourselves.

What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
We’re finishing our albums recording. We hope to release it on the middle of 2020. We are also going to release a new single Called “New Blood” and a video clip of it. Besides that, we are planning a lot of gig dates for the album tour.
