Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Jesse: I started the band back in the summer of 2016 with a totally different lineup. I started playing music when I was 7, and I learned through the School of Rock program. I stayed there for several years, but the program only involves learning covers, which I eventually got bored of. I decided to start this band with a few of my friends from School of Rock who also liked metal.
Jack: I joined the band about 3 years ago. I had met Jesse once before, but I happened to be at a backyard show that Diabology was playing at, while they only had three members. After they played, Jesse approached me and asked if I played guitar, and since then I've been playing with Diabology.
Joe: My parents and Jack's parents were friends. I found out that Diabology needed a bassist so I auditioned and I've been in the band for almost 2 years now.
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music?
Jesse: We're most often identified as blackened thrash, but we like to blend a lot of subgenres, from death to thrash to doom. Some of my biggest influences musically are Trivium, Metallica, Mastodon, and Death.
Jack: As far as metal goes, I'm really into both the fastest thrash, as well as the slowest sludge and doom. The bands that influence my playing the most are probably Death, Megadeth, and Black Sabbath.
Joe: My personal influences when I write for the band include Dream Theater, Metallica, and Opeth.
Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums?
Jack: A metalhead should buy our music because it's different than any other metal out there. Across the various styles and sounds we experiment with, any metalhead should be able to find something they enjoy in our music.
What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media?
Jesse: We released our debut album last year, and more recently we released a single called "The Softest Grave". We're really happy with the response we've gotten and we're endlessly grateful for everyone who has supported it!
Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far?
Jesse: We love playing live! Since the pandemic hit, we've only been able to play a couple of live stream events, but now that things are starting to calm down we're getting back into. Our first show back is May 22nd at FTG!
What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it?
Jesse: I think that our sound is unique in that it blends elements of old school and modern metal to create a sound that is accessible to all metalheads.
Jack: I would say the main reason to know our band is that we're just getting started. We're all pretty young and every time we play together we get better.
What plans do you have for the near future as a band?
Jack: More releases, more shows, more metal.
Jesse: Our second album is fully written and we're gonna hit the studio before too long, so look out for that!
Where can we listen to your band and where can we buy your stuff?
Jesse: We're on all the major streaming platforms! Our latest single is a Bandcamp exclusive, and you can also buy our merch and CDs on Bandcamp.
