Please tell us about the history of your band and its members.
Stormnatt was founded in the year 2000 by the three members that we still are now. We knew each other for years and had the same view on all important things to create that extreme and devoted kind of music that we are creating. Over the years we had massive changes in our line-up, we had a lot of different guitar and bass players and we always came to the conclusion that the Stormnatt temple is much more efficient and deadly in the original three piece line up. There is a very close individual, a dear brother in spirit and faith, who handles the live guitars in our ceremonies. He is one very important person for us as a band and personally. We feel very comfortable with our current situation, so there is no need to change anything. The inner core of Stormnatt will always remain as a trinity.
 
How would you describe your style? Which bands influenced your music? 
"Raw, yet melodic and deadly hymns of supreme magickal Black Metal", I think this is the best description to keep it short and bring it to the point. We personally are influenced a lot by Scandinavian bands from the 90ies, such as Dissection, Sacramentum and Darkthrone just to name a few. Numerous zines compared our musical style with the mentioned bands. 

Why should a metalhead buy your demos/albums? 
We can´t force anybody to listen to our creations, but I would recommend to give it a try. If you are into atmospheric, straight and hateful Black Metal you will be well served with all our releases. Especially with our latest opus "Omega Therion", which was released by Self Mutilation Services and DeathTemple Records a couple of weeks ago. High skilled sonic darkness with insane vocals, razorsharp guitar work and trancelike melodies.

What have you released so far and how were your releases received by the public/media? 
Our first release was the "Funeral Apocalypse" demo on tape in 2003. In 2005 it was re-released on CD-Format including a live bonus Track and different artwork. The first full-length album, entitled "Resurrection ov The Kult" was also unleashed in 2005 on tape and CD-Format. After years of creation, our second full-length album was finally ready and released. The album title is "The Crimson Sacrament". Now, in July 2014 we are proud to announce the release of our third opus "Omega Therion" and a high quality video clip for the track "Evangelist of the Fall - Death´s Seed".
By and large, we always get great reviews from magazines all across the world and our demo and the first two albums were sold countless times. For the new album “Omega Therion” we will see what's happen, because due to illegal downloads, it is harder than ever to sell our releases and to compensate the money we put into that albums.

Do you play live as well? How's your live activity so far? 
Yes, we play live as well. We have done quite a lot of shows in Austria, Czech Repulic, Hungary and Germany, indoor and Open Air. Stormnatt is always burning for new opportunities, when it comes to bring the fury and violence of Black Metal to stages all across the world. All of our supporters and deathmaniacs know what they can expect from our performance. A ritual drenched in blood, surrounded by the putrid stench of death and decay!

What should labels/zines/promoters know about your band? Why should they be interested in it? 
We have worked with a lot of labels, zines and promoters in our almost 15 years of existence and every single one of them will confirm that Stormnatt is an honest and loyal entity. We always spent a lot of time on preparing our live ceremonies, as well as album recordings and promotional stuff. Stormnatt delivers professional appearance in every aspect without any rockstar attitude. Our rituals are exclusive and definitely memorable, this fact also applies to our musical efforts. So if you are not convinced right now, just try it out. By the way, we are still looking for a label to release the vinyl version of "Omega Therion" and promoters to set up shows all across the world. Get in touch with the band. 

What plans do you have for the near future as a band? 
As the release of our latest album is done, we now began writing new material. In the near future our main goal is to promote "Omega Therion" in every possible way, especially with live rituals in Austria and wherever we get the opportunity to preach our deathgospel. A tour across Europe is planned for the year 2015. Time will reveal what else is going to happen.
